I think that this video case illustrates and upholds the fair use guidelines and the Codes of Best Practice because the teacher makes the students think about every image they want to use in the video and ask them why they're using this and why another image would not work. The video states that the students are using "critical thinking skill by to construct messages using digital media" (Video Case Study, P.S. 124, Media, Literacy, Copyright, and Fair Use.). Having the students think about the images and how they work with the message allows for teachers and student to be in fair use.

I have to agree with everyone the only thing that makes the video fall short of the fair use guide line is the teacher talking about learning fair use and not telling where or how he was taught it. But besides that I think that the video stayed on the track of being in fair use and allowed for the correct copy rights to be displayed in the classroom and the video.

Take Away:
I have learned that we all agreed that when it coming to fair use in the video that when the teacher asked the students to justify their chooses this showed fair use and this also allowed for copy rights to be best displayed. We also agreed that the teacher fell a little short being best practice by not really explaining how he was taught this uses and talking about it with no known of where the information came from was not correct fair use. I can applied all of this to my future teaching by crediting the information I give out and teach the students to have justified answers for the chooses in technology.

Like all teachers, I have learned the right and wrong ways to use technology in the classroom. I have learned that I need to justify the rights for this practice in my lesson. In the future I will be better ware of the rights of the technology in my classroom and my lessons.
